About this Webinar

Sometimes our worship life and the ways we seek to do justice in the world are separate, but it doesn’t have to be this way. In this webinar, panelists will discuss concrete ways for incorporating justice into our life of faith and bringing our faith into our community organizing. Come learn about liberative practices for faith communities.

Our Panelists

Francisco García is a PhD student at Vanderbilt University, focusing on Theological Studies and Ethics. He is an Episcopal priest with a background in community and labor organizing, school chaplaincy, and as a leader in parish ministry. He also serves as part-time Assistant Chaplain at St. Augustine’s Chapel in Nashville.

Jennifer McLaughlin has over 25 years of experience working in church and seminary environments. She has a MDiv and recently completed an MA in Social Justice and Community Organizing. Jennifer is the founder of CommUNITY Allies VBS and writer of other curricula about empathy, community activism, and our global connections.
